About Us

Our History

Brian Roberts 1998 Ltd has been involved in recovery and transporting damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes and weights since the 1960’s.

After being employed in the Pukekohe based business since 1981 by founder Brian Roberts as a panel beater, Anthony (Dutchie) Wijdeven saw his potential early for running the company and managed the business for 10 years before taking ownership in 1998.

With some very long hours, hard work, a very clever business mind and surrounding himself with some very experienced and friendly staff he has now developed this award winning reliable, professional and efficient company with a very high standard into what it is today.

Brian Roberts Towing operates a late model, well presented fleet, build up over the last 15 years around our customers and the industries very varied needs.

All staff are licences and police approved prior to being employed and then receive extensive training to successfully maintain the high standards of service we expect from ourselves.  OUr Racetrack Recovery Division is the ideal place to train these future employees.

Our 24 hour 7 day towing operation is run from Pukekohe where the dispatchers are able to quickly organise any accident or breakdown tows within the greater Auckland area, i.e Warkworth to Hamilton, coast to coast quickly as possible to our own yard or to clients choice of destination whether being a motorbike, car or truck.

Our Heavy Haulage arm has until recently used only low flat deck transporters to transport trucks tractors, forklifts, diggers etc around the greater Auckland and the North Island.  Due to customer demand for large hook trucks for some jobs we are currently building the first of two Heavy Haulage Recovery and underlift trucks being ready in early 2010, so we offer all heavy Haulage Salvage and transport needs.
